Kaye Cave, age 72, of Redfield, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 15 at Ochiltree’s; where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Morrisburg Cemetery. Kaye was born July 4, 1940 in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of Virgil and Audrey (Conley) McDaniel. Kaye married Donald Cave on June 25, 1960 in Redfield at the Christian Church.
Kaye was a registered nurse and worked for the Redfield hospital and later was a medical billing recorder at Des Moines University.
Most of all, Kaye was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed time spent with family. She also enjoyed bowling, dancing, family get-togethers as well as crocheting, reading and doing word searches.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Cave of Redfield; a son, Bill Green (fiancée, Cindy Fox) of Adel; a daughter, Donola “Dee” Saxton (Tim) of Redfield; 11 grandchildren (Jeremy, Joshua, Joe, Justin, Kristin, Jayme, Ben, Trent, Devan, Nicole and Ashley) and 21 great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Sue Plumber of Conifer, CO; Judy Bowlby (Larry) of Des Moines; Kathy McClemons of Indianola and a brother, Mike McDaniel of Denver, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Steve Aldrich; a brother, Wesley McDaniel and a sister, Ginger McDaniel.
