Marla,
The history I have on Fremont County, shows the first marriage license was issued in 1849. It was Stuart Dixson and Mary Jane Champlin, bearing the date of August 28, 1849. If you there were any marriages before this date, it does not appear that they were recorded.

The first settlements were made in this county as early as 1840. Before Fremont County was settled, part of it resided in Holt and Atchison Counties in Missouri.

Perhaps you could find their marriage record in one of those Missouri counties. Best of luck to you. Karyn
