DEATH OF MRS. CHARLES ALLGOOD

Mrs. Charley Allgood, a resident of Hamburg for more than thirty-five years passed away at the Hamburg hospital Friday morning. Her last illness was short although she had been in rapidly failing health for several months. She attended the Gay Nineties festival last week and enjoyed visiting with many friends she had not seen for months. She was stricken at her home Sunday and death came Friday morning.

Ora Alice Robinson, the only child of Scott and Hannah Robinson, was born in Jefferson County, Indiana, October 23, 1877 and passed away Friday, September 29, at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 3 days. As a child, she moved to Oskaloosa, Iowa, and it was there that she married Chas. F. Allgood, on November 11, 1896. To this union eight children were born. A daughter, Mrs. Lena Marker, preceded her in death in 1934, a son Ernest died at the age of 11 years and twins born to Mr. and Mrs. Allgood died in infancy. Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Edward Bohr of Omaha, and Mrs. W.E. Osborn an Mrs. Elmer Case of Hamburg; a son, Guy Allgood of Fremont, Neb., sixteen grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many friends. She is also survived by four half-sisters, Mrs. Vada Leahy of Omaha, Mrs. Desta Applegate of Peru, Mrs. Ed Rawson of Eckley, Colo., Mrs. Arthur Fowler of Oskaloosa and one half-brother, Elmer Allgood of Peru.

Mrs. Allgood came to Hamburg in 1913 and lived here continuously from that date, except for one year when the family lived in Tarkio. During the ministry of Rev. Mr. Coonrod, she and her husband united with the Christian church of Hamburg. They were regular attendants for any years and she remained a true Christian throughout her life. Mrs. Allgood was and honest, industrious mother, a real friend and companion and a neighbor. She was not given to complaining and throughout her illness spoke in cheerful tones and greeted her friends with a smile.

Funeral services were held at the Johnson Funeral Home Sunday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m., conducted by Rev. Cecil C. Latta Burial was made in the Mt. Vernon cemetery in Peru, Neb.
