The Clinton Age, Clinton, Iowa, January 19, 1877

W. P. Gaylord, editor of the Reveille, Floyd County, says that by watching the snow farmers can tell whether to plant corn or sow wheat when the spring shall come. If the snows are light, plant corn, if the snows are heavy, sow wheat. Gaylord has resided in Floyd County for more than a score of years and has never known this rule to fail. - Exchange
