Who was his father? Have been unable to get beyond him in the Seamons genealogy. I thought his obituary might help. He came to Fayette from NY in about 1856 with his wife and children. His wife Sarah ? died shortly after arrival in Iowa and he remarried Mary ?. The 1860 census shows him, Mary and his 17 yr old son William but the younger children were with the Gilletts next door. He, Sarah and Mary are all buried in the West Union Cemetery.
