Hello
I do not know for sure but I think The cemetery was located on Boale land and was their family plot.
I don't know how my family ended up in there except they lived near each other in Fayette County. I also have seen there were Boale's in Centre County, PA so they may have known each other before coming to IA.
Following are the only Boale names in the cemetery
Boale, James d: March 2, 1869 age 48 yr. 2 mo. 14 dy.
Boale, John d: Nov 5, 1860 - Age 68 yrs
Boale, John d: March 6, 1859 - Age 61 yrs
Boale, John Henery b: July 5, 1856 - d: Dec. 12, 1869. (Son of James and Margaret Boale) Age 13 y 4 mo 17 days
Boale Grace d: Nov 5, 1860 - Age 63. (Stone not present)This Cemetery was trashed and all the stones were piled up on one end of the plot. A group from the Fayette County Historical Soc. got it declared an historical place. They used equipment to locate every grave and then as they had no guide as to who was where they simply tried to put families together.
Many of the stones were broken so they cemented them back together. They look pretty good.
Other names in the cemetery are as follows:
Billmeyer
Boswell
Brown
Bunton
Campbell
Cummings
Dutcher
Dykins
Glass
Gray
Linderman
Livermore
Nims
Palmer
Quivey
