The Isaac Enders family emigrated from New York to Wisconsin to Iowa where they stayed about 15 years. They apparently moved to Dakota Territory but ended up as residents of Boyd and adjacent Holt as these counties became part of Nebraska. Most stayed until about 1910, then some movement began. In one documented case the movement was back north to South Dakota. Additional research could be easily pursued but considerable time would be involved.

1850 Census Fayette, Fayette,IA Isaac Enders, Mary Enders 27, Harriet 4 WI, John NY 7 Jesse NY 10
1880 John and Jesse or Jessy in Ponca City, Dixon NE with families- easily found on familysearch.org .Also same place by 1900. Jesse was probably a pensioned civil war vet. His pension file could be valuable.
Jesse’s wife Mary and at least son Dwight lived in Meade SD by 1920 having purchased government land as recorded on the GLO BLM web site. Jesse may have died there or in Ponca.
(Harriet probably married by 1866, possibly in Fayette, IA. There was a large post Civil War migration to NE from IA. Very favorable terms were offered to Union Civil War vets for homesteads.)
An old family group record on Isaac Enders and Martha Stevens has many erroneous date records. It was probably compiled prior to online census records. It does list Priscilla and her marriage to Joseph Leonard Witherwax also of Holt, Nebraska. They had a large family and lived next to bachelor brothers Bryon and Theodore who both died in Holt county. Parentage is not well substantiated and therefore changes may be expected as research unfolds documented facts.
