There is an obit in the Dubuque Daily Times on Fri., Aug., 30, 1872 p4 c4 for a Benedict Moser who died in Switzerland. He is the father of John, Frederick E and George G Moser. He was age 65. Don't know whether this pertains to you but might be worth checking.
