Dubuque Herald 10-11-187 MRS CATHERINE LANE, 87, died on Thursday 10-8-1874. Funeral from the residence of her daughter, Mrs Driscoll, on Jackson Str on Sunday. Burial Key West.

Telegraph Herald Dec 1, 1931 P. H. Halpin, age 83, prominent in Dubuque County politics died at Mercy. Came as a boy to Dubuque with his parents, Michael & Mary Halpin. Survived by 3 daughters - Mrs Regina Goldy, Long Beach CA, Mrs Genevieve Lane, Muscatine, IA, and Mrs Joseph (Margaret) Dows of Dubuque, and two sons - Sylvester and Leander of Dubuque. His wife died a few years ago and alsosons P.H., Jr., Robert and William.
