I am researching Elizabeth "Lizzie" Magerus/Majerus born about 1884 - 1887 in New York. Lizzie was placed on an orphan train to Iowa at age 5 years old. May have traveled through Dubuque or spent time in a Dubuque orphange before being placed with "foster parents" in Stacyville, Iowa.

There may also be a connection to Lizzie Weber who is found on the 1880 Dubuque Census as a boarder in the Michael Magerus home/hotel. Interested in any information about Lizzie Weber.
