TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
A Warrant in the Hands of Cupid
Captures Our SheriffTuesday morning at Sioux City, Thomas F. Phillips, the popular sheriff of Dubuque County, was married to Miss Maher of that city, and at last after a dashing career of bachelorhood the genial Tom was succumbed to the meshes which cupid spread in his pathway. The young lady was educated in Dubuque, where she is known and highly regarded. In winning the handsome sheriff she has captured one of the most honorable gentlemen, who as an officer and as a man, is esteemed for his eminent qualities, and has a longer list of friends than any man in Dubuque County. The bridal couple left for the east and south on a wedding tour, and will attend the Atlanta Exposition.
