Antoinette “Toni” Kerr, age 98, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Klein Center in West Burlington.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Winfield. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Winfield-Scott Cemetery. Antoinette Mathilde Frenzer was born on January 12, 1924 in Werne, Germany, the oldest daughter of Anna Klara (Kroll) and Joseph T. Frenzer. The family came to America in 1927 with sisters, Charlotte (Peterson) and Clara (Waltrip). Later, twin sisters Rose Mary (Moss) and Ruth Mary (Smith) were born.

Toni went to school in Burlington and obtained her hairdressers license in 1942. She worked at a few different beauty shops, but ended her career at West Hill Beauty Shop. Later she did some factory work for IRC. Toni loved gardening, baking and anything that had to do with visiting family and friends. She also owned and loved dogs, including a Maltese named Muffy and three dachshunds all named “Schnitzel.”

Toni married Leamon Kerr in St. Patrick’s Rectory on October 17, 1943. Leamon worked at Riepe-Peterson’s before ending his working career at J I Case Co. Lee preceded Toni in death on October 15, 1984. All of her sisters also preceded her in death.

Lee and Toni had one daughter, Sally Anne (Herbert) Price; two adopted grandchildren, Loren Joseph (Tennille) and AnnaLea Noel (Walker); and six great-grandchildren: Blaze, Braddock, Kyha, Keizer, Harper Ann and Tod Herbert (Walker).
