Judith A. Nalley, 73, of Burlington, died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison.
Born August 7, 1948 in Burlington, Iowa she was the daughter of Wilber Frank and Gloria Jean (Mehaffy) Lucas. She married Craig Keith Nalley on August 7, 1971, they later divorced.
Judy worked as the assistant manager for Payless Shoe Store for over 23 years, in addition she worked part-time as a correctional officer at Des Moines County Jail.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and served as treasurer for St. Johns United Church of Christ for many years.
She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes basketball fan and loved watching NASCAR.
She is survived by her three children; Janelle Nalley-Londquist (Jake) of Mediapolis, Eric Nalley (Jill) of Sperry and Justin Nalley of Burlington; four grandchildren, Allison, Henry, Lily and Logan, one brother Steve (Arlean) Lucas of Warsaw, Illinois; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Reggie Lucas.
The graveside funeral service and interment for Judy will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 13th at St. Johns Cemetery of Flint River Township, rural Burlington. The Rev. Deb Kinney will officiate.
A memorial has been established for the St. John’s Cemetery of Flint River Township.
