Last Will and Testament of Regina Bauer

In the Name of God, Amen:

I, Regina Bauer, of Burlington, Des Moines County, State of Iowa, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, free to act and of lawful age, do hereby make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say:

1st. After the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses, I hereby give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved son Henry Bauer of Burlington, County and State aforesaid all my property of every nature and description, and wheresoever found, both that now is in being and that I may subsequently acquire and of which I may die seized sto have and to hold unto him the said Henry Bauer and to his heirs and assigns forever, with the exception of the property provided in paragraph (2) Two and that he the same Henry Bauer, shall cause to be set a tombstone with the inscription of the name of his father Henry Bauer and his mother Regina Bauer, the monument not exceeding Fifty Dollars ($50).

2nd. I hereby give, devise and bequeath unto my beloved grand children Hattie Mower, and Gertrude Engel, all my wearing apparel and clothing to be divided equally between the two named grandchildren, and a feather bed and two pillows to Hattie Mower, and to the wife of my son Mrs. Henry Bauer one quilt, one tide.

3rd. I hereby nominate and appoint my son Henry Bauer as executor of this my last will and testament and exonerate hin from giving bond.

Given as my last will and testament at Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa, this 18th day of January, 1908.

The above and foregoing instrument consisting of one sheet and one half was on the date thereof signed by Regina Bauer, the testatrix, in our presence, and declared to be her last Will and Testament, and we, at her request, in her presence and in the presence of each other hereby subscribe our name as attesting witnesses.
