Clarence Everett Reynolds, son of Charles and Ellen May (Scadden) Reynolds, was born Jan. 1, 1900, and died Sept. 2, 1982.
He spent his life in Decatur County, Iowa on a farm in the Reynolds neighborhood until 1953 when he moved to Leon. After moving to Leon, he was employed by Decatur County and at Ray Andrews's sawmill.
In 1932 he was united in marriage to Ruth McCullough. To this union one daughter was born.
Preceding him in death were his parents; 4 brothers: Lee and wife, Ardain; Austin; Fred; and Joe; 2 sisters: Grace Burkheimer and husband, Fred; and Kathryn Mears and husband, Harry.
Surviving are his widow, Ruth, Leon; daughter, Mary Joe Kain and husband, Melvin; 2 grandsons: Mike Kain and wife, Kim; and Scott Kain; granddaughter, Valerie Thompson and husband, Mel; 4 great grandchildren: Shawn and Joe Kain; and Dawn Powers and Casey Thompson; brother, Robert Reynolds and wife, Phyllis; 2 sisters: Ona Kentner and husband, Donald; and Maude Snyder; 2 sisters-in-law: Lela and Elaine Reynolds; nieces, nephews, and friends.
Service was conducted from Slade Funeral Home Sept. 4 with Pastor Glen Welborn officiating. Burial was in Leon Cemetery.
