Glenn Sample
Glenn D. Sample, 67, 1055 S. Hancock, Ottumwa, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital.
He was born July 24, 1914 in Belknap to John and Mary Myrtle Shepard. He served with the Army in World War II. He married Pauline Mowrer on Dec. 21, 1945 in Marion.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dale of Ottumwa; a daughter, Judy Robinson of Preston; brothers, Hugh of Marion, Don, Ralph and Wayne of Bloomfield; sisters, Freda Dooley, Grace Hartley and Opal Blew of Bloomfield; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held today at the Jay Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Burial was in the Shaul Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Cancer Society.
