Services were Oct. 5, 1999 for Ruth Ann "Tootie" Hedstrom, 35, of Missouri Valley at First Baptist Church in Kiron. The Revs. Wayne Fritzinger and Keith Rice were in charge of the service. Burial was in Kiron Cemetery in Kiron under the direction of Pfannebecker Funeral Home in Denison.

Ruth Hedstrom died Oct. 2 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.

Ms. Hedstrom was born Jan. 10, 1964, in Denison. She was the daughter of Bueal and Deloris (Davis) Hedstrom. She was raised in the Denison area and graduated from Denison High School in 1982. Following high school, she attended the Nebraska School of Business in Omaha. She made her home in Omaha, Council Bluffs and for the past seven years in Missouri Valley. She was employed in the family concrete business in Woodbine.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kiron.

Survivors include her parents, Bueal and Deloris Hedstrom of Denison; a sister and her husband, Dawn and Carl Ulshafer of Ida Grove; two brothers and their wives, Alan and Robin Hedstrom of Denison and Paul and Tracy Hedstrom of Woodbine; nieces and nephews, Terri and her husband, Randy Beckley of Wenatchee, Wash., Shane and Rory Lindberg of Ida Grove, Andria and her husband, Eric Sicilliano of White Plains, N.Y., Dustin, Thea and Noah Hedstrom of Denison and Skylar, Austin and Twins, Tanner and Lucas Hedstrom of Woodbine; many uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives.
