Herman Johnson, a young Swedish lad, arrived in Denison from Sweden last week and will make his home with his aunt, Mrs. Swan Johnson, in Milwaukee Township. He made the trip unaccompanied and had no trouble. He was surprised at the bigness of the United States; he had never ridden in an automobile, and was alarmed and surprised when shown a herd of 125 hogs in Mr. Johnson’s yards. He was even more surprised at the amount of food he was permitted to have-in Sweden all foodstuffs were limited. Herman is a bright young fellow and will soon become familiar with American ways.
