MRS. A. FORSYTHE DIES IN CLINTON
DeWitt -- Mrs. A. E. Forsythe died at approximately 5:20 am today in Jane Lamb hospital, Clinton, following a brief illness.
The body reposes in the McGinnis funeral home, where services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday. Dr. E. A. Ramige, pastor of the Congregational church, will officiate and burial will be in the Seventh Day Baptist cemetery at Welton.
Delia alma Pierce, daughter of Franklin and Caroline Pierce, was born Aug. 25, 1860, in Minnesota. She was married to Austin E. Forsythe Feb. 12, 1877 at Welton. The couple lived in DeWitt for several years.
Surviving are one daughter, Eathel of DeWitt; three brothers, Jay, Harry and Otto Van Horn, all of Garwin, Iowa; and one sister, Mrs. Blanche Furrow of Blair, Okla.
Preceding her in death were her husband, who died April 3, 1935; one daughter, Lena, who died May 21, 1903l and two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Hurley and Mrs. Loy Hurley.

HOLD RITES FOR MRS. E. A. FORSYTHEDeWitt--Funeral services for Mrs. A. E. Forsythe were held at 2 pm Wednesday in the McGinnis funeral home.
Dr. E. A. Ramige, pastor of the Congregational church, officiated. Mrs. A. f. Deke and Mrs. Robert Nantz sang two hymns, accompanied by Mrs. Carl J. Smith. Pallbearers included S. R. Peters, Warren Walrod, B. F. Andersen, W. H. Walker, George Kiess, Sr., all of DeWitt, and Jay Van Horn of Garwin. Burial was in the Seventh Day Adventist cemetery at Welton.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Furrow and son of Galesburg, Ill., were here from a distance to attend the service, with many others attending from Welton and vicinity.
