Funeral services for Louis L. Schneider, 69, Wheatland, were held Dec. 29, 1987 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Harold Koenig officiating. Margery Wiebel was the organist and Kathy Patterson was the vocalist. Pallbearers were Leroy Andresen, Paul Stankee, Robert Stankee, Albert Bouchaute, Crayton Fish and Harold Fischer. Honorary pallbearers were Howard Nelms and Dean Schneider. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Schneider died Dec. 24 at St. Luke's hospital in Davenport.
The son of John and Ernestine Beckmann Schneider, he was born Sept. 1, 1918 in Wheatland. He married Mildred Dreyer Aug. 21, 1940 in Zwingle. He was a truck driver for the P. W. Stankee Co. and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland.
Mr. Schneider is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Dwaine (Sharon) Albers, Grand Mound; a son, Leslie Schneider, Mosinee, Wis.; 5 sisters, Dorothy Rowold, Wheatland; Maria Smith, Wheatland; Florentine Drinkwater, Plaquemine, La.; Clara Hamdorf, Wheatland and K. Louisa Schneider, Wheatland; 3 brothers, John, Lost Nation; Theodore, Wheatland and Franz, Lemars and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and a half-sister.
