Funeral services for Wilma Russell, 91, Wheatland, were held at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland, with the Rev. Harold Koenig officiating. Margery Wiebel was the vocalist. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.
Mrs. Russell died Dec. 8, 1987 at Mercy hospital in Cedar Rapids.
The daughter of Herman and Alvina Reinking Freese, she was born April 24, 1896 in Wheatland. She married Chester Russell Oct. 12, 1927 in Wheatland.
Mrs. Russell resided in Wheatland for 30 years. She attended the Clarence schools and Brown's Business college in Davenport. She was a milliner. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and a 50 year member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a sister, Mabel Endorf, Wheatland; a brother, Everett Freese, Arlington Heights, Ill. and a niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband and 3 sisters.
