Hi Barbara - your query for "any information" is pretty broad.
In April 1857 Peter McCuae (note surname spelling) patented 40 acres in the SW corner of section 26 Sperry twp. You can view the original record on the GLO website:
http://www.glorecords.blm.govThe McCue's were mentioned in Elkader newspapers - to view them you will need to search the new on-line archive:
http://elkader.advantage-preservation.comOne article in particular caught my eye - Ann McCue's home burned to the ground in 1902.
Christ McCue died in 1891 on the family farm; Anna McCue died in 1910 in MN. They had obits in the local papers. I will transcribe & post them on the obituary board for you.
It sounds like you've already searched the site and found some records for the McCue family. For the benefit of others who might want to help, the following records are currently on the Clayton co. IAGenWeb site:
*Peter McCue's obit
*Boardman twp. census 1860, 1870 & 1885
*Links to McCue gravestone photos in St. Joseph cem.
*Peter McCue's death recordIt would be helpful if you were more specific to what you'd like to know about the family?
