I grew up on the farm adjoining St. Sebald Church and during my teenage years mowed the cemetery. If he is buried in the cemetery, the grave is unmarked--and I do remember some graves that appeared to be unmarked in the old part of the cemetery. My family's farm borders the church grounds on two sides. Do you know where in the area the family lived? Our farm is currently made up of several 19th century farms and I currently have the abstract. If you believe they lived that close to the church, I can review the abstract and see if there is a reference to Griesse.
