Clayton County Register, 28 Dec. 1938.

Guttenberg: Mrs. Francis Eli* died at the home of Mrs. Matt, Saturday evening. She had been ailing for several years. Mrs. Eli had been a resident of Guttenberg for many years.

The funeral was held from St. Mary's church, Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. The Rev. Joseph Dupont officiated. One daughter, Mrs. Charles Pelzer of Dubuque, survives. Burial was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.

-The obit printed in the sourced newspaper above contains a multitude of errors. The deceased was Mrs. Joseph Uehle, nee Bernadina Eilers. Their daughter was Mrs. Charles Pelzer, nee Frances Uehle.

-Joseph & Dina have a gravestone in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
