Volga City: Miss Shirley L. White became the bride of Paul D. Taylor, Saturday, at the Methodist manse in Volga. The Rev. Floyd R. Maynard officiated. Attendants were Robert White, the bride's brother, and Miss Royale Hulverson of Elkader. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney White, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Taylor. Both are graduates of the local high school, class of 1949.

The groom is employed by Bell Telephone Co., and at present is located at Rock Valley, Iowa. His bride is an operator at the Bell exchange in Elkader.
