The Methodist church at Giard was the setting Sunday Dec. 28, for the wedding of Miss Shirley Bernhard, daughter of Mr. Byron Bernhard and the late Mrs. Bernhard of Giard, and Rodney Lindroth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Lindroth of St. Olaf. The Rev. George Goodrick, pastor, officiated. Miss Dorothy Hartke served her cousin as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Donald Yount of McGregor and Miss Norine McCaustland of Lansing. Flower girl was Linda Bernhard niece of the bride. Billy Meyer was ring bearer. Roger Larson was the best man and groomsmen were Carroll Rugland and Richard Orvis, all of St. Olaf. Ushers were Merle Funk and Duane Englehardt.

The bride is a graduate of the Monona high school and attended Luther college. She is an instructor in the Lansing, Iowa, public school. Mr. Lindroth is a graduate of the Monona high school and is employed in St. Olaf where the new home will be made.
