Helen Beckwith, 84, Spirit Lake, died Sunday, March 9, 1997

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 13, at the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake with Rev. James Stiles officiating

Casket bearers were Steven Beckwith, James Covey, Audie Foster, Brett Loving, Daniel Loving and Donald Loving

Burial was at Riverside Cemetery, Spencer, with the Turner Funeral Home of Spirit Lake in charge of arrangements

Helen Edith Beckwith was born on March 25, 1912 in Cherokee, the daughter of Arthur and Annie Munson. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City

She married Paul Edward Beckwith on June 22, 1932 in Sioux City.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, singing in the choirs of the Garner, Storm Lake and Spencer Churches

Mrs. Beckwith is survived by two daughters, Paulette Loving and her husband, Lael and Mary Beckwith Foster of Coralville; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren
