Former Osceola resident, Joseph L. Kilkenny, 72, died April 22, 2018, at his home in Fullerton, California. Joe battled cancer for many years, but the trademark twinkle behind his eyes remained present until the very end.
At his request, a celebration of life will be held in California in late June.

Joe was born Jan. 26, 1946, in Osceola, to Ralph and Martha Kilkenny. Many in Osceola will remember Joe as one of the seven Kilkenny boys who could be found playing sports, serving as an altar boy or causing mischief with friends. He attended the University of Iowa, which served as a stepping stone to grow his family, as well as his professional career.

While Joe lived a full life, he was most proud of his 53-year marriage to Marcia, and role as father and grandfather. He was always looking for an opportunity to educate through life lessons, school work or card games. He was loved for his sense of humor and Midwestern values.

Throughout his career with Kimberly Clark, Joe evolved into a well-respected manager within sales and marketing. He showed his commitment to the company through his mentoring of colleagues, as well as willingness to relocate, which included moves to Colorado, California, Wisconsin and Canada. By the time he reached retirement, Joe built a 35-year career filled with success and determination.

Joe is survived by his brothers, Jim, K.C. and Kevin; wife Marcia; sons, Scott and Todd; daughter Kelli (Esler) and their spouses; as well as his grandchildren, Logan, Megan, Sean and Nolan. Condolences may be sent to the Kilkenny Family, 1909 Dana Place, Fullerton, CA 92831.
