Clifford Eugene Harrell Jr. 80, of Osceola, died Aug. 24, 2004, at National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs, Ark.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug 30, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with the Rev. Robb Bruns officiating. Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola.

Clifford Harrell was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Winterset to Clifford and Gertie (DeBok) Harrell Sr. He attended Madison County country schools as a youth. On June 10, 1944, he married Ella Louise Libby in Winterset. Clifford, a lifetime farmer, had resided in Clarke County since 1959. Prior to 1959, he lived and farmed in Madison County. He was active with Osceola Senior Citizen center and had attended the United Methodist Church in Liberty for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother, Delbert Harrell.

He is survived by one daughter, Angela Putz of Kirzy, Ark.; one son Terry Harrell of Winterset; a brother, Bob Harrell of Thayer; four sister, Alma Duff of Nice Calif., Zelma Libby and Jackie Trevillyan, both of Winterset, and Margaret Guthrie of Norwalk; and four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
