Newell Cone was born April 20, l8l5 in Greenwich Mass. He was married to (1) Mary Winslow in l847. She died in l854. Three children were born, two of which died in infancy. The other Mrs. Ellen Williamson, still living. The decesed was again married to (2) Mary Breckenridge in l855. He removed to Ringgold County IA in l860. His wife dying in l86l. He then removed to Clarke county in l862. He was again married in 1868 to (3) Sarah A. Johnson. Three children were born to them, one dying in infancy. The other two, Charles and Cyrus still living. The decesed was taken sick and died October l8, l89l; aged 76 years, 5 months and 25 days.
