1983Elsie Charlotte Crabb, daughter of Clarence and Minnie Suits Pierce, was born September 13, 1896 in Decatur County, Iowa, and departed this life October 24, 1983 at the Osceola Leisure Manor at the age of 87 years, 0 months and 11 days.
She received her education in the Decatur County Schools. On June 27, 1912, she was united in marriage to Guy L. Crabb at Osceola. One child was born to this union. She was affiliated with the First Christian Church in Osceola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Horace and James Pierce.
She leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Irene Holt of Osceola; three grandchildren, Donna Rae Wistrom and husband, Bill; Diane Sue Garland and Joan Kay Hodges; four great grandchildren, Bob Garland, Nicki Hodges, Elaine Bethke, and Steve Jamison and wife LeAnn; three great-great grandchildren, Heather, Diane and Megan; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Friday, October 28 at the Kale Funeral Home, Osceola. Rev. Neville Clayton of Osceola officiated. Interment was in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola.
