Funeral services for Lishe Perkin Sloan were held Monday, March 27 from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. He died Thursday, March 23 at the Floyd Alley residence in Osceola. The 1:30 p.m. services were conducted by the Rev. Jim Epperson of Murray. Interment was in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
Lishe Perkin Sloan was born in David City, Nebraska, December 19, 1895, son of Felix G. and Mary Ellen Badgley Sloan. He attended the Polk County Schools and worked as a carpenter. He was also affiliated with the Methodist Church in Des Moines. He was united in marriage to Jessie Dean March 15, 1916. Two children were born to this union.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Jessie of Osceola; daugher Mary Funkhouser and husband, Bart of Murray; son, Richard and wife, Mabel of Osceola; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Myrtle Holmes and Floy Logeman of Boone.
