Mrs. Nettie Snyder Rae
Mrs. Nettie Snyder Rae, 69 years old, a resident of Sioux City 40 years, died Monday night in her home at 2000 Court Street following a lingering sickness. She was the wife of W. T. Rae,
Mrs. Rae was born September 15, 1863, in Schulsburgh, Wis., and was married to W. T. Rae October 27, 1866, at Cherokee. They came to Sioux City the day they were married and had lived here since.Mrs. and Mrs. George D. Snyder, Mrs. Rae’s parents, were pioneer residents of Cherokee county, coming there from Pennsylvania by way of Wisconsin. Simon Snyder, Mrs. Rae’s grandfather was governor of Pennsylvania for three terms, from 1808 to 1817.
Surviving Mrs. Rae are her widower; two sons, Herbert H. Rae of Sioux City, and Ernest W. Rae of Elmhurst, Ill.; three brothers, Britton Snyder of Sioux City; Charles C. Snyder of Denver, and Henry Snyder of Kasson, Minn., and a sister, Mrs. W. P. Robinson of Kasson.

Mrs. Nettie Snyder Rae
Burial services for Mrs. Nettie Snyder Rae of Sioux City, former Cherokee resident, were held at Oak Hill cemetery Thursday afternoon. Funeral services at Sioux City preceded bringing of the body to Cherokee.Mrs. Rae will be remembered as a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Snyder, now dead, who lived west of Cherokee in early years. Her brother, Cyrus, was a former Cherokee county officer.
