Funeral services for Lula B. Statts, 83, Tipton, will be held at 10:30 am. Thursday, Jan. 25 at the First United Church of Christ in Tipton, with the Rev. Robert Molsberry officiating. Betty Trevathan will be the organist and pallbearers will be Marvin Williams, George Snyder, Lloyd Meyers, Leo Nebergall, Kenneth Gaul and Paul Osborn. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Statts died Jan. 22 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.

The daughter of Sy and Amelia Foote Davis, she was born Jan. 22, 1905 in St. Louis, Mo. She attended the Davenport schools and married Clifford C. Statts Oct. 13, 1924 in Iowa City.

She was a farm wife and a waitress, spending most of her life in the Tipton area.

Mrs. Statts is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
