Funeral services for Harold Edwin Timm, 51, were held at the United Methodist church, Mechanicsville, Dec. 9 with the Revs. Jamie David Glenn-Burns officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Bohr and Alex Achenbach, Lisbon; Kevin Sulzner, Morley; Gary Ahrens, Stanwood and Alan Weets and Marvin Albaugh, Mechanicsville. Honorary pallbearers were his nephews. Jo Brown, Mechanicsville, was organist and special music was by Jennifer Timm, a niece.

Mr. Timm died of cancer at University hospitals, Iowa City, Dec. 6.

The son of Edward George and Martha S. Wehde Timm, he was born in Cedar county Sept. 1, 1937. He was married to Sharon Kruse at Lisbon Feb. 23, 1958. He moved to Mechanicsville from Vinton in 1965. The couple farmed.

Mr. Timm was a member and treasurer of the United Methodist church of Mechanicsville, was a member of the Cedar County Extension Council and the Cedar County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Gerald, Mechanicsville; a daughter, Karen, Fonda; 3 brothers, Walter, Hiawatha; Roger, Mechanicsville and Richard, Tipton; a sister, Joanne Strickley, Salem, Ore.; his mother, Martha Timm, Tipton and a grandson.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia Society of America, the United Methodist church, Mechanicsville or the Volunteer Ambulance of Mechanicsville.
