Funeral services for Alvin L. Jipp, 84, were held at Zion Lutheran church, Wilton Dec. 6 with the Revs. Curtis Moermond and Earl Moermond officiating. Pallbearers were Melvin and Robert Jipp, Norbert, Reynold and Roger Waech, James Bush, Ronald Happel and Fred Brammeier. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery. Linda Timmsen was organist.

Mr. Jipp died at the Davenport Lutheran Homes Dec. 3. Memorials may be made to the homes or to the Wilton Zion Lutheran school.

The son of Henry and Minnie Kiesel-Stoll Jipp, he was born in Cedar county Jan. 25, 1904. He married Ruth Happel at Zion Lutheran church, Wilton, April 2, 1934. He was a member of the Lutheran church and the Cedar County Farm Bureau.

He farmed in Farmington township until he retired. He later worked for PerMar.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Bruce, Wilton; 2 daughters, Mrs. James (Sylvia) O'Reilly, Bellflower, Calif. and Mrs. Kenneth (Audrey) Albinger, Brisbaine, Queensland, Australia; 7 grandchildren and 3 sisters, Ada Brammeier, Mamie Jipp and Wilma Waech, all of Wilton.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
