Funeral services for Mrs. Robert (Letha) Rupe, 81, were held at Davenport Nov. 14 with the Rev. Don Gardella, Peace Church of Christ United, Bennett, in charge. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery. Mrs. Rupe died at the Americana Health Care Center, Davenport, Nov. 12.

The daughter of Jesse and Lydia Minks Strode, she was born at Centerville Aug. 18, 1907. She married Robert Rupe in Centerville Dec. 8, 1924. He died April 15, 1986.

She was a member of Peace church and the Bennett Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crafts and flowers.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Horstman, Bennett; a son, Robert J., Davenport; 5 grandsons; 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Harry (Jessie) Simmons, Des Moines.
