October 8, 1925CRUISE—SHEY.
At the Massena Catholic church at 9:00 o’clock Saturday morning occurred the marriage of Miss Bertha Cruise, daughter of Mrs. Mary Cruise of Massena, to Dan Shey, well known Massena young man, Rev. Father O’Donnell of Massena, Rev. Father O’Connor of Wiota and Rev. Father McDermott of Atlantic officiating at the ceremonies.
The bride and groom were attended by Howard Shey and Miss Esther Shey and Dr. and Mrs. Vasco of Omaha.
The bride wore a white georgette gown and a lace wedding veil, held in place by a wreath of flowers. The bridesmaids were dressed in lavender georgette and wore silver colored slippers.
Miss Marjorie Cruse and Miss Bernadine Barry acted as flower girls and Paul McMahon served as ring bearer, with George Anstey as tray bearer.
Miss Veronica Anstey played the wedding march, “Lohengren.”
Following the most beautiful ceremonies a reception for the newlyweds was held at the Cruise home.
Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Hogan, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Cruise, Dr. and Mrs. Vasco, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barrett, all of Omaha and Miss Florence Russell of Creston.
