J.B. Tieke's parents were Johan Heinrich Tieke, who died in Cincinnati in 1878, and Maria Bocklap, who died in Germany in 1843. J.B. Tieke's wife's name was Mary Anna Elizabeth Evers; their married in 1852 in Lohne, Oldenburg, Germany. I am one of their many great-great-great-grandchildren.

J.B. and Mary's son Henry Tieke married Wilhelmina Mueller in April 1893. Mina or Minnie's parents were Henry Mueller and and Sophia Rueter.
