Dean G. Heuton, 70, of Carroll died of cancer Sunday at St. Anthony Regional Hospital there. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery there.

Mr. Heuton was born in Carroll County and had lived in Lidderdale and the Arcadia and Manning areas before returning to Lidderdale in 1965. He was a lifelong farmer and had been an elder and trustee of his church.

He is survived by his wife Nyla; two sons, Steven of Platte City, Mo., and Michael of Storm Lake; two daughters, Lori Robinson of North St. Paul, Minn., and Cari Vermillion of Millington, Tenn.; his mother, Helen Heuton of Carroll; a brother, Carrell of Colorado City, Colo.; a sister, Delane Cleveland of Carroll; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosemary Hinz Heuton.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church from 8:30 a.m. until time of services Wednesday. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register 26 March 2002.
