Bob Mohr Sr., age 75 of Lake City, IA, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, IA surrounded by his family. Robert Joe Mohr was born on January 5, 1949, to parents Melvin and Delores (Lee) Mohr. He grew up in Sac City and a farm outside of Lake City where he graduated from the Lake City High School class of 1967. Bob was blessed with 5 children Mischelle, Jared, Bobby, Joey, and Amber.
On July 19, 1991, Bob was united in marriage to Doreen Marie Holdsworth in Carroll, IA. Bob worked several years as a gravel truck driver for Hosteng’s, operator for Pella Windows, and then drove a gravel truck for Mohr Sand & Gravel retiring in 2019. He loved tinkering with tractors, cars, equipment around the farm, and gardening. Bob spent years woodworking and improving his house utilizing those woodworking skills. He went on several tractor rides with his sons and grandson and will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 33 years Doreen Mohr of Lake City, IA; Children: Mischelle (Ralph) Hardy of Radcliffe, IA, Jared (Marian Zimmer) Mohr of Sac City, IA, Bobby (Tammy) Mohr of Glidden, IA, Joey (Kristine) Mohr of Mountain Lake, MN, Amber (Jamie) Mohr of Iowa Falls, IA; Siblings: Gloria (Gary Dooley) Mohr of Lake City, IA, Bill Mohr of Lanesboro, IA, Patty (Dennis) Mohr of Elkhorn, IA, Mary Jo Mohr of Perry, IA; Grandchildren: Jessica (Troy), Elyse (Tanner), Jasmine, Miranda (Lowell), Noah, David (Bridgette), Justine, Eli, Nathan, Colton, Shyla (Mason), Savannah (Jesse), Logan, Trystan, and Khloe; great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Brayden, Christian, Jaycee, Raelynn, Hailey, Wyatt, Hudson, Briley, Abby, Jared, Xavier, Aaron, Mallory, Oaklyn, Summit, Titan.
