Barbara J. Miller, 81, of Fairbank, Iowa, died peacefully on Monday morning, November 11, 2024, at her home.

Barbara Jean Dinnebier was born August 23, 1943, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Edward Paul & Johanna C. (Schmitt) Dinnebier. She received her education at Immaculate Conception High School in Fairbank, graduating in the class of 1961. Barb was united in marriage to Thomas William Miller on June 9, 1962, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fairbank, Iowa. They lived in Fairbank and were blessed with three children: Mischelle, Scott and Thomas. Barb was a school bus driver for Wapsie Valley Schools for 20 years.

Barb was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

She enjoyed walking, quilting, and attending all of her grandchildren’s many events.

Barb is survived by her husband of 62 years: Tom Miller of Fairbank; 3 Children: Mischelle Fink of Oelwein, Scott (Mary Clare) Miller of Brookings, South Dakota & Tommy (Jaye) Miller of Jesup;
8 Grandchildren: Kyle Fink, Hannah Fink (fiancé: Sam Flesburg), Amelia Miller-Bredl (Sean), Edward “Eddie” Miller, August “Gus” Miller, Johanna Miller, Zoe Miller & Jack Miller.

Memorial Service: 5:00 P.M. Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein with Rev. Paul C. McManus officiating.

Gathering of family and friends: 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Final Resting Place: Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Fairbank, Iowa, at a later date.
