Addrenne Smith Wahley, 73, of Hazleton, formerly of Independence, died at home Sunday, April 2, following a sudden illness.
She was born July 4, 1932, in Chicago, daughter of Harland Vernon and Frances Fern Kawalski Olson. She married George Robert Smith on Oct. 21, 1950, in Ogdensburg, Wis. He died in 1990. She then married Jack Wahley in October 2004 in Geneva, Ill. He died in 2005.
Mrs. Wahley worked in antique sales for many years.
Survivors include: two daughters, Georgia (Leo) Briggs of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Linda Marie Smith of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; a son, Keith (Jo Ann) Smith of Big Rock, Ill.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lana (LeRoy) Ecklund of Buttdesmorts, Wis., Diane (Woody) Parker and Cynthia (Brian) Amundson, both of Iola, Wis., and Andrea (Jim) McIntyer of Palm Court, Fla.; and four brothers, Harlan "Sonny" (Mavis) Olson of Chapman, Kan., Algy (Marie) Olson of Wheat Ridge, Robert (Shirley) Olson of Alcoa, Tenn., and Duane "Butch" (Sandy) Olson of Lake Geneva, Wis.
Preceded in death by her husbands; and two sisters.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, both in Independence. Public visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White Funeral Home, Independence, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
