I have found a wealth of information about the Shipp's on Familysearch.org. They were neighbors of my Harris and Seely families in Bremer Co in and near Horton and Plainfield.

Unfortunately geographic information about Six Mile Grove (Butler Co, Fremont Township) is very hard to find. Modern maps have been checked including topo maps, google earth and web searches with no luck. Available on line Plat maps (Butler Co-1895) have been searched without finding a specific reference.

If a property deed could be located exact location details Township, range and section could at least pinpoint where the farm was located. This data is available on film. If the farm was not owned but rented it is more difficult but other clues may be sought from news accounts, mortgage records etc.
