First... I'm not related to or researching this family ... just taking a break from my own research and helping out if I can. I do not live in Iowa so not going to be of much other help.
I subscribe to Ancestory.com and checked census information to see what I could find out.
There was only one Raymond Estes listed in the 1930 census with that birth year and he was born in Iowa.. Census information follows:
U.S. Census > 1930 United States Federal Census > Iowa > Keokuk > Jackson > District 11
Estes, George.....Head.......Male...White..55.. Widowed..Born in Iowa... Both parents born in Iowa.. Occupation is farmer.. General Farm..
, Loyal...........Son........Male...White..16.. Single.. Born in Iowa.. Both parents born in Iowa
, Donald..........Son........Male..White...14.. Single.. Born in Iowa... Both parents born in Iowa
, Raymond.........Son........Male..White...10.. Single.. Born in Iowa.. Both parents born in Iowa
, Sarah...........Mother.....Female..White..73..Widowed.. Born in Iowa. Both parents born in IowaI then checked the 1920 Census for the father listed above and came up with the following. The daughter's names are hard to make out in this census so I'm guessing at them.. I saved the image to my desktop so let me know if you want me to send it to you so you can try.
1920 > IOWA > KEOKUK > JACKSON
Series: T625 Roll: 497 Page: 65
Surname Given Name Age Sex Race Birthplace State County Location Year
ESTES GEORGE 42 M W IA IA KEOKUK JACKSON 1920
Estes, George.. Head .. Rents... Male.. White.. 42..Married.. born in Iowa.. Both parents born in Iowa.. Occupation is Farmer.
, Grace...Wife..Female..White.. 34.. Married.. Born in Iowa.. Father born in Germany.. Mother born in Iowa
, Leslie........Son.....White...16.. Single... Born in Iowa
, Elsie(?)....Daughter..White.. 11.. Single... Born in Iowa
, Loleda......Daughter..White.. 8.. Single... Born in Iowa
, Loyal.........Son.....White.. 5.. Single... Born in Iowa
, Donald........Son.....White.. 4.. Single... Born in IowaThis is the same family in both Census Records. Raymond is not listed in the 1920 census as being born in July, he probably wasn't born till after the census information was provided.
This family is living in the same State, County and Township in the census for both years so it would be pretty safe to assume that Raymond was born in KEOKUK County especially since he was born shortly after the census information was given in 1920.

The person who submitted this tree is listed along with an email address to contact them. I'd contact her to inquire about additional information. Also check out the following url
http://www.rootsweb.com/~iakeoku2/rockcreek.htm It's the cemetery where individuals in her information are buried. Make sure to click on the link below the pictures that says "Click here for Rock Creek Cemetery Readings" for a list of the people buried there and the location of the graves.I'd also research the KEOKUK County website and post a query there.
