Stephen BROWN, b. 30 Apr 1816, Goshen Conn, d. 5 Jun 1886 in Waterloo was son of Russell Brown, b. abt. 1791. Married Almira W. Abbot (b. abt 1817 in Conn or Mass). Stephen and Almira had children Sarah, Hiram, Luther, Allen, Myra, Warren. Allen Brown was the husband of my great great aunt, Eliza Lewis, and I've spent years tracking the family down. Family moved en masse from Sharon, Litchfield Cty, Conn to Black Hawk county, Iowa about 1868. Stephen's son Luther returned to Sharon, Ct, the rest stayed in Iowa.
I have a large amount of info on some of the branches of the family, especially those of Allen and Luther. Please contact me.
