Belle Plaine, Iowa, April 3. – It has just been learned here that William Shadle, one of the Union force here, and Miss Mary Smith of the Racket store eloped and were married the same day at Marion. The young people belong to our best families and created quite a sensation, as there appeared to be no obstacle to their marriage at home.
