This is the first part of the extensive bio written by Edward Perry Powers.
Powers Family
The story of the Powers family in Appanoose County begins with my [Edward Perry Powers] grandparents, Thomas and Mary Ann Powers. Thomas Powers, born in 1824, married Mary Ann Barron, born in 1831, and they resided on a farm located about three miles to the east of Centerville. Their fourth child, Henry Perry Powers, was my father. H.P. Powers as he was locally known, married twice. His first wife, Jenny Ogden, was the mother of Bhules James Powers and Harry O. Powers. B.J., as he was known, spent his life in Des Moines practicing law. Harry O. Powers was a well known farmer residing in the western part of Appanoose County.
And it goes on to talk about Henry Perry Powers and (mostly) Edward Perry Powers.
