Unfortunately, there are no names on the back of the pictures - no dates either. I visited my mother over the holidays and showed her the website. Even though she was not yet born when these pictures were taken, she was able to identify a couple of the kids. In the 3rd picture of East End School, the tall girl in the back is the sister of Felicia NOBLE. Noble is the sister's married name and she couldn't think of her maiden name. The first boy on the left side of the second row is Warren HOSKINS Jr. The girl, 3rd from the right on the back row (in the dark dress with white collar) is Helen CUNNINGHAM - daughter of Alice and Joe Cunningham.
These pictures would be the school years beginning 1920-21 and ending 1923-24 as I have my grandmother's teacher contracts. She earned $80 per teaching month when she started and was up to $85 her last year. Teachers usually were not allowed to teach after they married, but my grandmother, Eveline COATES HOSKINS, the teacher in these pictures, said they liked her so much that they allowed her to stay. She completed the year in which she married and taught an additional year.
My mother also tried to identify some of the 1918 graduates of Mystic HS. The quality of the picture on the website isn't very good and I didn't have the original with me, so she couldn't be sure, but she thinks two of her aunts as well as her mother are in the picture. The first girl on the left, top row is Eveline COATES. She thinks the girl next to her may be Edna HOSKINS MARTIN. The first girl on the left of the bottom row may be Alice TINGLE COATES.
