Dear Mary McNett,
We were looking for family on line and found you. My great grandparents were Sam and Annie Leach Fowler.I've been told that Sam came from Ohio in a covered wagon as a baby in the late 1800's. I would like any information you may know of our family history. thank you.
Pearl, William, Guy, Grace, and a little girl who died in a maple sugar camp fire were the children of Sam and Annie Fowler. The Samuel Fowler Farm was south of Centerville just across the state line from Putnum Co. MO.

Sam and Annie are buried in the Zoar Cemetery in Appanoose Co. IA. South east of Exline, IA just before you get to the MO. state line.
My Grandfather was Pearl Fowler. He was married to Bertha Rice. Both born in southern IA but retired in CA.

Guy lived on his father's farm most of his life. His children were Leo, Laverne, Robert(Bobby), Shirley Edward(his dad called him Kiddy because he was embarassed about Jenny calling him Shirley and he is now called Clem), and Elaine. Leo still lives on Grandpa Sam's farm.
Shirley lives in Appanoose Co. IA. I think Elaine lives near Knoxville, IA.
